Mother and Sons Reel In Over 60 Trout fishing report coverpicture

July 15, 2026

Laguna Madre - Willacy, TX Inshore Report on 15th Jul, 2026 - 2

No wind? No problem! Today I took a mother and her 3 boys. As soon as the first cast was made...BAM!!!.... Fish on!!!! The boys and the mom probably caught well over 60 trout today with 4 that measured between 22”-25” . They had a blast to say the least.... Well maybe not so much for one of them who accidentally took a plunge! 🫣 lol. It was all good though except for his phone he had in his pocket. 🥴 A change in travel plans between June 4-20 has made those days available. Shoot me a message of you’re ready to go!

Post-Front Redfish and Trout Action 🎣 fishing report coverpicture

February 6, 2026

Laguna Madre - Willacy, TX Inshore Report on 6th Feb, 2026

With the front that arrived early morning, I had prepared the clients of a potential tough day. Never can really tell how good or bad the bite will be after a front. Fortunately my fears were erased fairly quickly. Redfish bite was pretty good and the trout bite was on fire. We must have thrown back 20-25 trout between 17”-19” Including a couple over size. Former UTRGV asst athletic director Seth Jones brought his high school best friend to join the fun. Had a great time learning a lot about the life a Major League Baseball relief pitcher. He’s currently with the Colorado Rockies and he put a hurt on fish today like he puts the hurt on those MLB batters!!

October 29, 2025

Laguna Madre - Willacy, TX Inshore Report on 29th Oct, 2025 - 1

Tough having a James Beard awarding winning chef who has been on Food network a few times , and is the owner of Burnt Bean Co Bbq in Seguin Ernest Servantes, in addition to an American Royal Grand Champ Jay Tinney on board together. 😳 I felt like a guywho bbques hotdogs next to these cooking machines. Fortunately for me they are both great humble guys who love to cook, fish, and hunt. Great time today with these men. If not for all the catching and releasing Ernest Servantes was doing early on, we would probably have had our limits of fish by 8:00-am. 🫢😂 If you’ve never been to Burnt Bean Company in Seguin, put it on your bucket list. You won’t be disappointed!! Might I recommend the Blue October 🤤😮‍💨 #lamoscacharters #NewWaterBoatWorks #texastacklefactory #doalures #waterloorods #finsbraid

Not sure if I’m coming or going right now. The whole month of Sept is a blur. Lots of fish caught & filleted and many more left out there for another day. Wish I took more pics but 🤦🏻‍♂️. TTF Redfish killers were on 🔥that even the bottom feeding mullet couldn’t resist!!🫢 Best time of the year to be out there is now! What you waiting for?🙂 #lamoscacharters #NewWaterBoatWorks #texastacklefactory #doalures #finsbraid

Hungry Reds and Two Days of Non-Stop Action! fishing report coverpicture

October 29, 2025

Laguna Madre - Willacy, TX Inshore Report on 29th Oct, 2025 - 3

Team NewWater! Capt Me🪰 Capt Jaime Lopez🐐 Capt Xavier Lopez 🦮(🐩🫣inside joke 😂) Capt Fred Robles 🐎 Capt Trae Peña 🐅 4 Ibis’s 1 Stilt. Decent couple days of fishing this group from Tomball and surrounding areas. (*pics do not include Capt Fred Robles haul since he was the last boat to return to dock) We often get asked, what were they biting? For these two days, plastics of all kinds were being destroyed (TTF for me and Capt Trae), Top water action was good with blowups every 3-4 casts, spoons we on fire, flies were being inhaled on sight. Lol. Didn’t really matter. Fish were hungry for the most part and they showed it. 🙂 October into November is my favorite time of year for hungry reds and no 100 degree days. Time to fish!! No group is too small or too big!!! #lamoscacharters #NewWaterBoatWorks #texastacklefactory #doalures #waterloorods #finsbraid

Had a blast today with these’s guys. Didn’t matter what color we threw, TTF did what it do. Client wanted to throw some Gulp and cut bait, but eventually gave in when the catching was being done by TTF lures. Thank you Capt Jaime Lopez and Ronnie Alaniz! #Lamoscacharters #NewWaterBoatWorks #TTF #waterloorods #finsbraid
